Daniel R. O’Connor, MD
Daniel R. O’Connor, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon that specializes in hip and knee reconstruction. He is also a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Currently Dr. O’Connor sees patients at Manhattan Medical and is an attending physician and clinical instructor at Brookdale University Hospital.
Dr. O’Connor graduated from City University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez, in Juarez, Mexico. After which he completed a year of supervised clinical training under the direction of Downstate Medical Center School of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. O’Connor has several years of training after his education including a general surgery internship and general surgery residency at Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, New York, an orthopaedic surgery residency at Catholic Medical Center in Brooklyn and Queens, and finally a hip and knee reconstruction fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center-New York Orthopaedic Hospital.
For over 17 years, Dr. O’Connor has been practicing orthopaedic surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has been a clinical instructor in orthopaedics at several teaching hospitals. Throughout the years, Dr. O’Connor has been published in several journals and conducted research related or orthopaedic surgery.
