Anna S. Duszka, MD
Dr. Anna Duszka is a board-certified pediatrician with several years experience treating children, including newborn, school-age, and adolescent patients, in all aspects of preventative and acute care. She graduated from the Academy of Medicine in Wroclaw, Poland in 1986 where she was awarded her medical degree. During her studies and an internship at the Academy of Medicine, Dr. Anna Duszka developed a special interest in neonatology.
A few years after graduation, Dr. Anna Duszka arrived in the United States. She studied English for several years before beginning a pediatric internship and residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York, NY. Upon completion, Dr. Anna Duszka held a hospitalist position covering the well-baby nursery and pediatric inpatient unit at St. Johns Queens Hospital in Elmhurst, NY.
For the following eight years, Dr. Anna Duszka was affiliated with St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital and Family Health Center in New York, NY. She held various positions including pediatric instructor responsible for the supervision and instruction of medical students and residents, assistant medical director, and primary care provider treating children from newborns to adolescents.
Currently, Dr. Anna Duszka is a pediatric attending physician at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, NY, where she is also responsible for the instruction and supervision of pediatric residents. Additionally, Dr. Anna Duszka sees patients in the Manhattan Medical outpatient clinic.
Dr. Anna Duszka has been certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since 1999. She is also licensed in clinical homeopathy and is a medical journalist for the Polish radio station, Polskie 910 am. Fluent in Polish, some Russian, and medical Spanish, Dr. Anna Duszka is comfortable assisting patients and their families in all three languages.
